A children's book about the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff

Cornelia and the German puppet maker and illustrator Sara-Christin Richter created a children's book about the life of the 19th-century German poet, novelist, and composer Annette von Droste-Hülshoff.

"When the Annette von Droste zu Hülshoff foundation asked me, if I would like to write some texts for a trail, I was hooked immediately. The trail has several stops, and for each of them I would write something about the German poet's life. After all, it would not only be biographical stories. They wanted me to write about the landsapes that had inspired Annette von Droste-Hülshoff and about the way these landscapes changed over time.

Right from the start, I knew that there was only one artist, whose illustrations would beautifully accompany my words. When I got the request, Sara-Christin Richter was one of my artists in residence here on my farm in Malibu. So I recommended Sara-Christin and the Droste foundation agreed. She created such wonderful works. I'm sure those will bring all visitors walking the trail much closer to Germany's famous poet."
