What brought you to your art?

I loved literature and writing since I was a child. It would be precise to say that the pirates of Emilio Salgari and the wizards of Tolkien brought me into this journey. Then, of course, I was lucky enough to have the support of my parents and the encouragement of extraordinary teachers.

How did you get the opportunity to participate in Cornelia's 'Artists in Residence Program'?

Through the 2021 contest for Latin American people in collaboration with the biannual LIJPE seminar which I organize.

How did you like your time at Fraggina? Did you find inspiration?

My time at Fraggina was wonderful. I was able to focus on my writing and I had the opportunity to work on it both with Cornelia and the mexican writer Adolfo Cordova. The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Nature is such a great source of inspiration, as well as the Fraggina community.

What did you take home from there?

Community, nature, and art. Seeing these three things working together gave me a map of what I wish for the future. I think it will be through this kind of experience — people coming together to co-create not only art or science, but a way of living — that humanity will be able to find its place on earth.
