Depressed
Written by Pashynn F.
Preface
I sat down and wrote this one night in the early summer of 2024.
{for all those who ever feel down, keep looking up, you are never alone}
Time really does fly,
Sometimes you need to cry,
You’re as happy as can be,
Than you can’t see,
From thick falling tears,
That fall through the years,
And so you’ve cried,
Because they’ve built up inside,
Such a quick thing,
It makes your ears ring,
Life’s crazy quirk,
How does it work,
It’s just so quick,
That pin stick,
You’re so happy,
Then SLAP, crappy,
How to smile,
You forgot for a while.
Did you know pain,
Falls like steady rain.
And sometimes you can’t cry,
And you don’t know why,
Also can’t rant,
You just can’t,
You ain’t wired,
You’re just so tired,
You don’t care who,
Nothing excites you,
You’re so depressed,
Why even get dressed,
It’s such a curse,
Couldn’t be worse,
Feeling helpless as sod,
Can’t find God,
Such a small word,
It doesn’t forward,
What is it to be sad,
Well,you ain’t glad.
You move in a different time,
To a different rhyme,
Where everything is slow,
You have nothing to show,
You’re up on a shelf,
Folded into yourself,
There is no day,
Life is just gray,
You forget the smile,
Just nothing for a while,
Not the same on the phone,
You’re completely alone,
And mentally too,
The hurt is killing you,
There’s no, What! Where! ,
You just don’t care,
Can’t bounce back up like jelly,
When you’ve lost touch with reality,
Maybe needing rest,
Life has no zest.
I’ll pick myself up soon,
It’ll be a new moon,
And right now I don’t believe it,
But tomorrow I will see it.
It is going to be okay,
God is good, every day.

Leave a commentLola and Kaleb, thank you. I really appreciate your comments and feedback.
I know what you mean Kaleb, I do that too. Life can be really hard. Have a good day, remember to smile, keep up the good work.
This is rlly good. You have talent, stick with it and keep writing
Very personal, this piece. I've felt the most like the second Canto (portion) Sometimes to get rid of the sadness I get angry, which isn't a good thing. Those final verses bring hope though, which we all need. I feel with you. Well done on this piece.
