Elements
Written by Jessie
The stars are whispering to the wind,
What secrets do they hold?
Up in the soft moonlit lake of night,
The tale of ages told.
The cold scaly fish dart by the weeds,
In the dark water-land.
Down in the deep mysteries are kept,
Hidden under the sand.
Trickles of water drip down the rocks,
And ancient legends rove.
Strange things happen in the earth's black bowels,
'Neath tunnel or dark cove.
Bubbling loops are sprayed far up above,
The harshly burning Sun.
The light-spreading fires on the star's face,
When were those fires begun?
