Man in the night
"What's he doing here?" thought Milly.
Milly was a twelve year-old girl who lived with only her father to take care of her. Her mother, her dad had always said, "was on a forever vacation." But Milly didn't believe her dad.
Now back to the story.
"What's he doing here?" thought Milly. The figure at the door knocked twice.
"I'll get it!" said her dad.
Leo was his name. He was a bookbinder in Brisbane. It was a stormy night outside, so the figure outside was getting really wet. So Leo went to the door and opened it.
"Well, well, well, hello Leo, shall I come in?" said the figure in his greyish voice. "You're not going to be able to hide from me this time, Silvertongue. It took me several years to find you and this time it took me three months and you haven't aged one bit." said the figure looking up and down at Leo.
"Well, actually I've aged quite a bit, if I say so myself, Quickspear." said Silvertongue.
"Welll - well, I meant you look like you haven't aged a bit." stammered Quickspear.
Knowing him
"Ah ha!" yelled Milly. "So he's Quickspear! The figure who was standing outside. I got so many questions for you!"
"Well, er..."
"I'll take over for now, Quickspear." said Silvertongue. "Milly, Quickspear can't answer all your questions now. It's eleven thirty-seven pm. You and me and Quickspear should all be in bed right now, right, Quickspear?"
"Thast's right, Silvertongue, we all should be in bed right now, and that reminds me, can I sleep her tonight? Please? I can sleep on the couch or the floor. I can eat whatever you eat for breakfast for a month? Please?" he squealed.
"Alright, you can sleep on the couch and eat breakfast with us on one condition. You stop disturbing me with getting you back into the book because I can't."
"Ok, I respected every word you said with respect." said Quickspear calmly.
"Good." said Milly and Leo together.
Man in black
She thought she heard voices rising above Dustfinger's music. Men's voices. And a terrible fear rose inside her, as dark and strange as the terror she had felt on the night when she first saw Dustfinger standing out in the yard. (Cornelia Funke, Inkheart)
And then, suddenly .... BAM! A window had smashed in the house.
"Milly, Quickspear, get into the mini van! Go, go, go!" yelled Leo.
They all got into the mini van, dad driving, going 80 kilometres per hour!
Pew! Pew! Pew!
Bullets were flying past the mini van.
"They're chasing us, dad" Milly screamed in fear.
The men were chasing them in a black van. Then suddenly, a black drone appeared on Leo's side. The drone had a gun.
Pew! Pew! Pew!
The bullets shattered all the windows of the mini van and destroyed parts of the seats. Then suddenly the mini van spun out and fell into the water below them.
Splash!
Finding a place to stay
A week later after thier fall they they were in a broken down cottage for three weeks and then they moved to a city in Sydney for seven months.
"I'm hungry." said Milly.
"I'm starving." said Quickspear.
"Stop complaining." groaned Leo.
Leo soon found a car to drive, so he got into it and drove away from the bad guys with Milly and Quickspear.

Leave a commentHello Leo. This is an interesting fan fiction to say the least. I like the little quote you added from the original Inkheart. Personally it's my favorite series of modern books, between you, me, and the wall. I'm going to read part two now so I'll see you over there.
