Poutine

Written by Pashynn F.

Oh we sing of yummy food,

Of poutine’s delicious fries,

Is there any food more good?

Use what God gave you, your eyes.

See the molten gravy on,

Gobs and chunks of melting cheese;

Hear our voice as we do plea,

“Extra cheese and gravy please.”

Oh the tantalizing scent,

Foodies falling to their knees;

When my stomach calls to me,

“Can I get a poutine please.”

Wow. That does sounds delicious. Here in the US where I live we have something similar. They're deep fried cheese curds. But folks don't do them with gravy. That's a nice twist. I'll have to look up a recipe.

A poutine is a classic Canadian dish that is claimed to be most loved by those from Quebec; though we all love it . You take french fries, sprinkle a generous amount of cheese curds (shredded motzarella works too) over them, and then cover it all in gravy. Then you eat it with a fork. Some people also like to dip there poutine in ketchup. It's quite yummy

I have never had a poutine. What is that? I'm very curious.
