InstagramWhat brought you to writing?
I have been writing since I was little, and the people around me always supported me, which I am very grateful for. It was important for me early on to have an outlet for my creativity and as time went on writing also become an outlet for my thoughts and feelings.

How did you come to take part in Clara’s Prize?
Even before Clara’s Prize I liked to participate in events where I could connect with other writers. When I came across Clara’s Prize online, I was immediately interested. Especially the background story that the Prize is dedicated to the Frech girl Clara who passed away at 13 from a heart defect, really moved me. And it inspired me to write my short story in the end.

How did you like your time at Cornelia’s? Did you find inspiration there?
It was like a different world where creativity was bubbling up in every corner. You immediately feel at home, especially with all the great people there. I think it’s almost impossible to NOT be inspired at such a place, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and for how warmly I was taken in by everyone.

What did you take home with you?
First and foremost the feeling that creativity is something incredibly important that can bring people together and give them hope. I used to feel like creative hobbies and professions were often looked down on, and my time in Tuscany showed me that I wouldn’t want to live in a world without stories, music and art.
