What brought you to the arts/ your work?

I grew up in a family of artists and was always encouraged to pursue my creative interests. My love for books and illustrations go all the way back to when my grandmother read me stories when I was a child and I would draw and craft along. Putting the pictures a book conjures in my head down on to paper is something magical for me that I can never get enough of.

How did you like your time at Cornelia’s in Volterra? Did you find inspiration there?

I really enjoyed my time in Tuscany because I could completely focus on my creative work. The landscape, the ambience and the great contacts that are made there are fertile ground for new ideas that want to be made reality.

What did you take home with you?

A suitcase full of wonderful impressions, inspiring experiences and conversations. Memories of the scent of fresh Italian coffee, the beautiful sunlight, that shines into the studio at Mulinaccio, the chirping of crickets and the sound of pebbles crunching underneath my feet. Feeling cozy, sheltered, and creatively unincumbered made my time at Cornelia’s in Tuscany an unforgettable experience.
