The Residencies

Cornelia's Volterra project has grown so much over the past years that a single estate in Tuscany could no longer accommodate all the guests and was not sufficient to realize all their endeavors in art, music, and nature conservation. So now there's two. Cornelia calls them Fraggina and Mulinaccio

Cornelia’s farmhouses in Tuscany are only a fifteen-minute drive away from each other. Cornelia herself lives at Fraggina, where there are also four guest apartments. Mulinaccio has the same amount. Both farmhouses regularly host several guests.

These guests – Cornelia’s Artists in Residence – are young painters, illustrators, sculptors, writers, film makers, conservationists, biologists and artisans.

Both places have several studios, green houses – that are also popular retreats for writers – and old tavernas for communal cooking and eating.

Guests have movie nights, walk up to Volterra, take trips to the sea, which is only 40km away and care for the forest garden and the olive trees.

Here you can see a wild mix of photos and videos of life at the farmhouses.

If you’d like to visit Mulinaccio yourself for an afternoon, you can apply here. It is not possible to apply for Cornelia’s Artists in Residence Program!
